About this site

Built in two days with HTML, CSS, Javascript, pen and paper.

Some backstory: I almost always design site layouts digitally, out of habit or sheer inertia.

But I get stuck a lot. I love and miss the tactility of analog materials - the carefree expression possible with simply paper and pen. So this time, I doodled on some sheets of printer paper and ended up with the layouts for these pages. No Freehand, no Photoshop, just one-hundred-percent hand-drawn organic goodness.

This site was lovingly hand-coded using Dreamweaver and Textwrangler, a very functional free text editor for Macs. It looks most dashing in Safari and Firefox. (Although IE standards support has been getting better. That's hopeful.) Sugardew indulges in Javascript and CSS to the fullest. Ideal for 1024x768 or greater resolution.

No animals or plants, and only a minimal amount of carbonated drinks, were harmed in the making of this website.

About this girl

Hullo! I am a Tina. I was born in China, and I like to make websites, bad art, and food. If I could make websites out of food, my happiness would be complete. I moved a lot as a little 'un and have lived in all 4 regions of the US, including California. Now I'm in college studying architecture and "fine arts." I'm looking to become an architect, web designer, graphic artist, or unicorn someday.

Art is for questioning and munching upon, not ignoring.

Technology and cheeky human smarts are not for evil, unless it takes the form of a morally condonable practical joke of impeccable craftsmanship.
